Overberg Flying School and Club

flying The approval number that the Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa has assigned this training institution is CAA/0247.

The idea behind OSF is to bring the magical world of flight to within the grasp of those interested in flying and not limit it to the select few who happen to live near one of our very rare airports and who can also afford the extensive costs generated by certified aircraft.

We are based at an secluded airfield near Bot River 20 minutes from Hermanus and 35 minutes from Somerset West.

School HandbookMicrolights come in a wide variety of machines and have a substantial number of advantages:
  • They are cheap and logistically easy to operate
  • They are very rewarding and great fun to fly
  • They do not require large airfields with tar, landing-fees, avgas etc
OSF is licensed to train on weight-shift as well as 3-axis microlights.
